Just as our Indian ancient vedic teachings are highly respected around the world, the Ancient Chinese preaching and beliefs are globally recognized and practiced. Amongst that one of the most widely accepted belief is that of FengShui. It means Wind & Water. It deals with the effect of the natural forces and determining the ideal solution to a given site or building in harmony with environment. One of other interpretation of Fengshui is Ken-Yu which means Heaven & Earth, making it a study of coercive forces generated by heaven and earth and there impacts on human lives and destiny.

Ancient Chinese philosophers believed that our life and destiny are closely interconnected with our environment, our surrounding, the style of our buildings, as they have profound impacts and effects on us. FengShui has evolved over thousands of years and aims to create environments that are ideal to the function and purpose of a given space. FengShui deals with the movement and flow of energies in a given space. It is a responsive and remedial science based on the idea of balancing the 'chi' meaning ‘energy’.

The role of a FengShui practitioner is to assess the flow of energy and seek to clear any found blockages to ensure free flow of energies in a given space. It is believed that there exists auspicious energies and evil energies, meaning positive and negative energies. The idea here is to increase the 'Luopan'. In addition to the conventional direction flow of the positive energy. And to achieve this FengShui Masters uses a Chinese compass called compass, 'Luopan' has numerous concentric rings which are used to map and identify the flow of positive and negative energies.

FengShui rules are very site specific and can further be extended to personal and individual application. This can be done by considering the person's date of birth and then determine his/her auspicious and inauspicious directions. Deeper understanding and application of FengShui rules goes beyond general remedial recommendations such as placement of mirror, plants, crystals, symbolic objects, clearing clutter application of colours, arrangement of furniture etc.
